Pre-Arrival: If you don't already have the WhatsApp Messaging app, please download and create an account. 90% of Israelis use whatsapp, and it will be our main way of communicating once you hit the ground in Israel. Airport Arrival--IMPORTANT FOR TAXES! Israel no longer stamps passports when you enter the country. Instead, you will receive a small, blue-ish, paper card with your passport info and entry date.  PLEASE don't lose this. We need you to photograph this small paper together with the main page of your passport, and send us by whatsapp (easiest to use the attach photo option from within the chat). As a foreign tourist, we do not have to charge you the %17 VAT on the room that an Israeli would have to pay. If we are audited by the tax authorities, we have to show them that we indeed hosted a tourist (your passport), and that indeed you were actually here in the country during that time! So, while you are waiting for your luggage, why don't you go ahead and take that photo, before you forget...or lose the entry card!! 

Arrival to Jerusalem: Most take the train, which leaves often and is affordable. As of March, 2024 Nesher shared taxi vans no longer operate. The official address of the City Tower Building is Ben Yehuda 34; but the actual entrance is at Eliash 2. The building is a 5 minute walk from Jaffa Center, light rail station.

Keyless Entry, Yale Lock Codes: Once you are confirmed and on your way, we will send you your room code. Please watch the VIDEO below about how to use the keyless code system.

Free Wifi: Network = Living_JLM Guest; PW= Livingjlm2024  Unfortunately, the building does not have super-high speed internet.  The bandwidth is adequate for most things, but please be considerate to your neighbors by not doing things on your phone or pc that require huge amounts of data, like interactive video games. 

Laundry: There is a laundry machine and dryer for your use on the 18th floor. A key to the room (next to room #1) is located under the silverware tray in each room's kitchen. You can use the laundry facilities between 8am and 8pm. Please watch the explanatory video below about how to use the machines. Please use short cycles and PLEASE be sure to be there when the cycle is finished, so you don't leave your clothes unattended and the next person has to go looking for you. Each use is 15 shekels, which you can leave in the box on top of the dryer. When the dryer is in use please leave the door open to allow heat to escape.

Taxi info: If you need taxi service while you are here, or to the airport, you can download and use the Gett. app. Uber does not operate in Israel. Also, here are the telephone numbers of two local services whom you can call 20 or 30 minutes before you need the taxi: 02-586-6666; 02-544-4444.
